World’s Finest Strike Podcast is hosted by Patrick Riley, a US Navy veteran who served six years aboard vessels including the USS Mount Whitney. In March 2025, Patrick published his debut novel Deception Underway, a military thriller drawn from his firsthand naval experience.
The podcast explores the stories behind the stories — what life in the Navy is really like, how veterans transition to civilian life, the craft of writing military fiction, and the broader themes of duty, loyalty, and resilience that run through the Underway series.
